Karen and her husband Joe, moved to Aiken in 2009, to escape the traffic and congestion of Northern Virginia. Both were happy to return to the gracious, slower pace of the South, and particularly delighted to have discovered this magical City of Aiken. Joe is a Citadel graduate, and Karen graduated from Queens University (the Queens College) in Charlotte, N.C. After building their dream house in Woodside Plantation, Joe hit the links and Karen became active with the Women of Woodside, ultimately serving as Vice-President under Linda Walters in 2010.
Although Joe was retired when they moved to Aiken, Karen had been for 25 years enjoying a successful residential Real Estate career with McEnearney Associates, where she had earned the Lifetime Top Producer award, bestowed by the Northern Virginia Board of Realtors. After 4 years of volunteering with WOW and the SPCA, Karen decided to get her South Carolina Real Estate license, and is now happily back to work with Woodside-Aiken Realty, specializing in Woodside properties, and looking forward to helping YOU with your next purchase or sale.
